8 Pound Bass in Texas

It’s about time I put this picture up. It’s only been over 2 years since I caught the largemouth bass. Go figure.
Anyway, I caught this 8 lb. 3 oz. lunker in March of 2007 at Damon 7 Lakes in Damon, TX. I caught it on a Texas rigged 4 inch crinkle fry. Wow. Big baits catch big bass, but so do small baits.
This was the first of two 8 pounders I caught out there. I photo was taken of the second one, too, but so far I never got a copy of it. The second one was caught just a couple months or so after this one. During the last couple years I have caught a ton of 3 and 4 pounders out there, along with several fives and a couple of seven pounders.
I won’t tell you about all the dinks I caught
Enjoy the photo.
